Sand Equipvalent Test

Designed to determine the relative proportions of clay-like or plastic fines and dust in granular soils and fine aggregates. The test helps assess the cleanliness and quality of sand and aggregate materials used in construction.
 
The set includes the equipment required to carry out the sand equivalent test, allowing a sample to be mixed with a prepared solution and then allowed to settle in a graduated measuring cylinder. The sand and fine material separate into distinct layers, enabling the sand equivalent value to be calculated.
 
Suitable for laboratory and quality-control testing of aggregates and soils, particularly where the presence of excessive clay or fine particles needs to be assessed.
